Telegram, May 24, 1865.

Capt. Welty sends a telegram from Austin, Nev., to Nev. Governor Henry G. Blasdel requesting permission for the Sanders Guards to accompany Lt. Seamonds and his men on their expedition to fight Indians on the Humboldt River near Gravelly Bar [Ford], Eureka County. Welty also asks if the state can furnish supplies.
